Death of a Young Raven . By

It has been said that the Raven has no soul and so it enters the world of living mortals in search of a soul it does not possess. Whether this is science or folklore is not for me to discern, but I must say that even for a raven that purportedly can move between the living and the dead, that the death of a young one pierces far deeper than the soul, with regret. For even creatures of the dark with no soul are unable to fathom the empty void that the death of the young beholds. Truth be told. When the young die young, who is left to bury the old? So the next time I hear someone say a Raven has no soul and therefore they should be scorned, I can only say to them, from a mother a young Raven was born. -W
